In a strong response to serious workplace misconduct allegations, N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, has reiterated the group’s zero-tolerance policy toward coercion, harassment, and unethical behavior.

The statement comes after disturbing allegations of sexual harassment and forced religious conversion surfaced at the Nashik office of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of India’s largest IT firms.

Calling the incident “gravely concerning and anguishing,” Chandrasekaran emphasized that a detailed investigation is already underway.

“The Tata Group maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of coercion or misconduct by its employees. A thorough investigation is underway to establish the facts and identify all individuals responsible,” he said.

The investigation is being led by Aarthi Subramanian, Chief Operating Officer of TCS, ensuring senior-level oversight and transparency.
