Iran Seeks Ceasefire Amid Reports on Mojtaba Khamenei, Donald Trump Responds
Washington, March 15: Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning against Iran, sparking discussions in global politics. He stated that if Iran continues its provocative actions, the United States may take further military measures.
In a recent statement, Donald Trump referred to Kharg Island, one of Iran’s major oil export hubs, and warned that another strike could be carried out if necessary. “The actions taken so far are only a warning. If the situation continues, the next steps could be even more severe,” he said, according to international media reports.
Trump also stated that Mojtaba Khamenei, who was reportedly appointed as Iran’s new supreme leader, is not alive. He further claimed that Iran is ready for a ceasefire but that the United States is not interested.
In an interview with NBC News and Fox News Radio, Trump said that Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public since he was reportedly appointed after the death of his father, Ali Khamenei, during the U.S.–Israeli attack on February 28.
“I don’t know if he is alive. So far, no one has been able to show him. He is not alive. If he were alive, he would have done something very smart for his country. But the country has now reached the point of a ceasefire,” Trump said.
